2021, Mar 01

In Endeca you can select contacts by their geographical location:

For that purpose you need to go to Contact Segmentation tab and click on Geo Filter as below: 210301.geo1.png

You need to fill out:

  • Latitude
  • Longitude
  • Radius
  • if in Miles or Kilometers

You can get these data from the below simple Geo Location Finder site: http://chris.de.oracle.com:7777/ll.html 210301.map1.png

You can click and drag with the mouse to draw a circle for the locations to be included in the selection.

When you release your mouse the needed informatino for Latitude, Longitude and Radius will be presented in the top bar of the screen:

Now go back to your Endeca tab, click on field for Latitude and paste the clibboard (CTRL+V on windows) Geo Location Finder shows the Radius in km so you need to change that too to “Kilometers”:

And finalize with Get Geo Filter

Now your selection should include only contacts with given location radius.

While working with Geo Location Finder site you can move the drawn circle by moving its center point. Or changing the radius by moving the drawn square on the circle. Additionally you can search for geographical location (addresses, cities, etc.)
