Associate Contact With Account
In certain situations you notice that the associated account of a contact is wrong. If you know the proper account you could use manual way to update such contact via GMSS Contact Update Request
The detail steps how to use Contact Update Requests was covered in older post: Upload Update Contacts. Link to template was included in that post too.
To update account association of certain contact it’s enough to provide these mandatory fields:
- cxd_contact_id => goes in column U
- company_given => goes in column H
- fusion_account_id => you need to append that column as last column of a template => column AD
Here is the example we had before update:

And to get Fusion_Account_Id:

Start in ‘Account Based Segmentation’, provide country and search for the company you need the Id for:

Since ‘Account Based Segmentation’ does not show ‘Fusion_Account_Id’s move to next tab ‘Contact Segmenation’ and scroll down to Preview List:
Fusion_Account_Id is there. If there are multiple Ids you need to pick the best (looking at domains, or contact level Company Name).
